Camera Truck

Two men in a truck...

with a very cool robotic arm.

Leave it to 4th Dimension to design and build the world’s first and only robotic camera truck. This bad boy will actually shoot rock steady moving shots up to 52 mph. It was originally developed for the Daytona International Automall, the largest automotive dealer in the U.S. It was always a challenge to showcase the Automall’s massive inventory, so 4th Dimension developed this one-of-a-kind camera truck that now provides some of the finest quality footage available. If it moves on land, 4th Dimension can shoot it! Used for national automotive running footage, motorcycle and car chase scenes, exciting footage for automotive dealerships and virtually anything that moves and needs to be accurately tracked and shot.

Custom built in the machine shop at Universal Studios, the total weight tips the scales at a whopping 450 pounds with a maximum height of 14’6”, the maximum height allowed by the Florida Department of Transportation. Inside the cab of the truck, the outside unit is controlled robotically with a jimi jib hothead via operator and driver. Please check out our pictures and video demonstration of this exciting innovation.
